Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using SaltRider, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not use our service.

Description of Service

SaltRider is a platform that connects surfers to coordinate rides, find surf sessions, and build community. We provide tools for:

  • • Creating and managing surf profiles
  • • Posting and discovering ride offers
  • • Joining surf sessions
  • • Messaging other users
  • • Leaving reviews and building reputation

SaltRider is not a transportation company, common carrier, travel agency, surf school, or professional guiding service. We do not employ or supervise users, and we do not control their actions.

User Accounts

Account Creation

  • • You must provide accurate and complete information
  • • You must be at least 18 years old to use SaltRider. If you are under 18, you may only use the service with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
  • • You are responsible for maintaining account security
  • • One account per person; no impersonation

Account Termination

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in harmful behavior.

User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

  • • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
  • • Use the platform for commercial purposes without permission
  • • Share inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content
  • • Attempt to access unauthorized areas of the platform
  • • Use bots or automated systems
  • • Spam or send unsolicited messages
Ride Sharing & Safety

SaltRider is a coordination platform. We do NOT:

  • • Screen drivers or riders
  • • Conduct background checks
  • • Verify vehicle safety or insurance
  • • Provide insurance coverage

When participating in rides or surf sessions:

  • • Meet in public places
  • • Share your plans with friends/family
  • • Trust your instincts
  • • Verify all arrangements directly
  • • Check profiles and reviews
Liability Disclaimer

SALTRIDER IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

We are not responsible for:

  • • User conduct or interactions
  • • Accuracy of user-provided information
  • • Accidents, injuries, or property damage
  • • Disputes between users
  • • Service interruptions or data loss

Surfing and travel involve inherent risks. Users assume all risks associated with using SaltRider and participating in activities coordinated through the platform.

Content Ownership

Your Content

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant SaltRider a non-exclusive license to use, display, and distribute your content on the platform.

Platform Content

SaltRider's design, code, and branding are our intellectual property and may not be copied or used without permission.

Reviews & Reputation

Reviews must be:

  • • Honest and based on actual experiences
  • • Respectful and constructive
  • • Free from personal attacks or profanity

We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate these guidelines.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend access to SaltRider immediately, without notice, for:

  • • Violation of these Terms
  • • Fraudulent or illegal activity
  • • Harmful behavior toward other users
  • • Any other reason we deem necessary
Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of SaltRider after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration…
